New Releases for August:
Anacortes Arts Festival Hefeweizen (ABV 4.6% / IBU 18) Our award-winning Hefeweizen has a cloudy golden color and a full, fruity aroma. Bavarian yeast produces striking banana & clove flavors. This summertime favorite is light-bodied with a flavorful snap and mild tartness finishing relatively dry – the perfect thirst quencher!

Vienna (ABV 4.8% / IBU 15) Smooth and malty, this elegant amber lager is delicately hopped with Perle & Mt Hood varieties for aroma and balance.

Get Back (6.9% ABV / 40 IBU) The official 25th anniversary beer of the Anacortes Brewery! This Extra Special Bitter (ESB) features rich caramel and toasted malt notes backed by a clean Simcoe hop presence. It’s a fresh take on a classic style and a chance for us to get back to where we once belonged.

Anacortes Brewery Releases for May 2019

Experimental Series – English Mild (ABV 4.5% / 25 IBU) A malt focused British Session Ale readily suited to drinking in quantity, this beer is refreshing yet flavorful with a light toasty character that finishes clean, crisp and dry.

Original IPA (ABV 6% / IBU 80) – Our classic northwest style IPA has a building hop character balanced with a sturdy backbone to support it. Columbus, Cascade & Simcoe are dry-hopped in the fermenter  producing a moderate citrus and stone fruit aroma that yields to a bold, prolonged hop flavor and bitterness.

Beers From the Wood Series – Day of the Dead Red Ale (ABV 4.9% / IBU 20) is aged in a Woodinville Distillery rye whiskey barrel providing extreme drinkability with a balanced whiskey flavor.

Anacortes Releases the Official Beer of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

New Releases

Valley Brown Ale (ABV 4.5% / IBU 20)   The official beer of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, this easy drinking, medium-bodied seasonal is brown with an apricot hue and a light, roasty aroma. Grains grown in the same fields as Skagit Valley’s tulips provide a blossoming malt flavor with roasted caramel notes. Perle, Cascade and Mt Hood yield a delicate hop character and a light, velvety finish.

Czech Pilsner (ABV 5% / IBU 35) Bohemian style lager with light golden color from Pale & Munich malts, distinct hop character from Saaz hops and lagered for several weeks providing smoothness and subtle malt flavor.

Whistle Lake Weizen (ABV 4.6% / IBU 18) Our award-winning Hefeweizen has a cloudy golden color and a full, fruity aroma. Bavarian yeast produces striking banana & clove flavors and a sneaky bubblegum note. This favorite is light-bodied with a flavorful snap and mild tartness finishing relatively dry – the perfect thirst quencher!

Herbert’s Ale (ABV 7% / IBU 86) This hoppy, Northwest-style Amber Ale is made with Skagit Valley malt and balanced with generous amounts of Centennial, Chinook, Cascade and Mandarina Bavaria hop varieties. Brewed to honor industry pioneer, Bert Grant, who opened the first craft brewery in the state of Washington.

October 2018 Anacortes Brewery Releases and Events

New Releases for October:

Citra Fresh Hop Pale Ale (ABV 5.4% / IBU 50) Our second Fresh Hop of the season is a highly anticipated seasonal made with 2 row and Vienna malts for a dark straw color featuring major hop flavor and aroma from copious amounts of fresh Citra hops collected from Carpenter Ranches in Granger WA.

Erie Oatmeal Stout (ABV 5.8% / IBU 18) Named for the highest point on Fidalgo Island, Mount Erie, this beer is big and roasty on the front end with an inviting chocolate aroma. It’s full flavored with a silky medium-body and a bittersweet coffee note. Columbus, Perle & Cascade provide a delicate balance for a smooth and dry finish.

Broadsword Scottish Ale (OG 1.090 / ABV 8.3% / IBU 35) Black Patent, Caramel, Chocolate, Munich & Peat smoked malts produce dark color, malty flavor and subtle smokiness in this robust Scottish Ale. Perle, Cascade & Mt Hood provide a balanced bitterness.

Anacortes Brewery Releases / Events August 2018

New Releases for August:

Arts Festival Lager (ABV 4.8% / IBU 18) – The official beer of the Anacortes Arts Festival: Highly drinkable and well-balanced, this refreshing session beer is brewed in the traditional German style. A light maltiness provided by Premium two-row & Vienna malts is supported by restrained bitterness from Vanguard & Perle hops with a soft and dry finish.

This Year in Beer Series: 1776 (ABV 8.4% / IBU 86) – Batch #1776 for the Anacortes Brewery is a Double IPA that greets you with aromas of orange and tangerine from copious amounts of Citra, Amarillo and Simcoe hops followed by a sturdy malt backbone. Celebrate the pursuit of hoppiness the way our forefather’s intended!

Czech Pilsner (ABV 5% / IBU 35) – Bohemian style lager with light golden color from pale & Munich malts, distinct hop character from Saaz hops and lagered for several weeks providing smoothness and subtle malt flavor.

Wild (ABV 9% / 12 IBU) – Barrle aged 7 months with Brettanomyces, this ruby-colored Belgian ale exhibits complex and balanced aromas of sour cherry and fruit leather. Delicate hopping during the boil and months on wood produced jammy fruit flavors with a hint of Brett funk.

Anacortes Brewery June Updates

New Releases for June:

Spring Break (ABV 4.8% / IBU 43) A collaboration with Winthrop’s Old Schoolhouse Brewery, this is a Northwest pilsner with a heavy dose of Mosaic and Simcoe hops added in the whirlpool for a juicy, tropical aroma of passion fruit and guava. A light body and bright white head make this easy drinker the perfect summer beer!

Cream Bee (ABV 4.8% / IBU 21)   Brewed with local honey, this smooth cream ale is lagered for crispness and features subtle hop aroma and balanced bitterness from Mt. Hood hops.

Anacortes Brewery – May 2018

New Releases for May:

French Wit (4.8% ABV / 15 IBU) – Our take on a Belgian Wit uses a French yeast strain and unmalted wheat to provide a classic hazy, white apperanace appearance. Notes of vanilla and honey compliment a soft, rounded mouthfeel. Coriander and bitter orange peel added to the boil offer a pleasant sweetness that ends in a refrehing, crisp finish.

Barrel Aged Brett (5.6 ABV / 30 IBU) – Ales from two different barrels are blended together to make this lightly tart beer. It’s medium amber in color with notes of strawberry jam and fruit leather while flavors reminiscent of grape and berries finish dry and crisp.

Fidlago Light (ABV 3.5% / IBU 15) – The lightest beer in our catalog is named for our destination island. Straw-colored and lightly hopped, this session beer is designed for light beer drinkers.

Mai Oh Maibock (ABV 6.5% / IBU 30) – Named in honor of Mariners announcer Dave Niehaus’ classic exclamation. This golden seasonal version of the classic bock style is malty with a delicate hop character from Perle & noble varieties

Anacortes Brewery New Releases for Spring

Saison with Debittered Leaf Citra (ABV 5.4%) A refreshing Saison to bring us into Spring! Our version is hopped with a specialty blend of Palisade, Simcoe, Lorel and Mosaic and was brewed by members of the Pink Boots Society for International Women’s Day. Dry hopping with Citra debittered leaf brings a bright, fruity tang to this uplifting beer.

Valley Brown Ale (ABV 4.5% / IBU 20) The official beer of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival: This easy drinking, medium-bodied seasonal is brown with an apricot hue and a light roasty aroma that melts into a clean malty flavor. With malt grown in the same fields as Skagit Valley’s tulips, Alba, Brown, Crystal, Vienna, Chocolate and Premium two row bring forth a blossoming malt flavor with roasted caramel notes. Perle, Cascade, Mt Hood provide a delicate hop character which softens into a light, velvety finish.

Deception Pass Pale Ale (ABV 5.4% / IBU 40) Our all new Pale Ale is named for the most visited park in Washington State and features 100% locally produced Skagit Valley malt. This refreshing, sessionable ale is deep golden in color with aromas of apricot, pine and biscuit finishing with notes of black tea from dry hopping with Cascade. Enjoy our take on an old favorite.

February Releases:

Peppercorn Saison (ABV 4.6% / IBU 15)   While the most quaffable of our Belgian beers at 4.6% ABV, this guy still packs a punch. We add four different types of peppercorns (black, green, pink and white) to give our traditional Saison a savory flavor that compliments it’s dry finish.

New Anacortes Brewery Releases 2018

Anacortes Brewery has 4 new releases for you to enjoy this winter!

Klosterbier (ABV 5.3% / IBU 35)   Smooth, dark lager originally brewed at the Anacortes Brewery under the guidance of the visiting brewmaster of The Kalt Loch Brewery in Bavaria. Inspired by a dark lager brewed for the Engelberg Monastery. Delicately hopped with Perle hops, this beer has become a local favorite.

Dubbel Vision (ABV 7.8% / IBU 25)   Our traditional Belgian-style Dubbel is malt forward and brewed with European Black Prinz malt, brown sugar and honey. Starting with aroma and flavor notes of ripe banana, this dark beer then finishes with a pleasant spicy sweetness and just a touch of alcohol warmth that hints at it’s 7.8% ABV.

Trippel Vision (ABV 9.99% / IBU 6) Our Belgian Trippel adheres to traditional guidelines with it’s pale straw color from mostly pilsner malt and it’s high alcohol content. The aromas and flavors of peach nectar blend with characteristic Belgian yeast spiciness to make your lips sing!
