Chuckanut Utilizes Sustainable Practices to Save Water

Chuckanut brewery understands what a special resource water is and has been using many sustainable practices for years.  In fact, they started even before they opened Chuckanut Brewery. "Our brewmaster Will Kemper is a brewing and chemical engineer and designs breweries all over the US and the world, and this is a practice he has used since time began," says Mari Kemper.

Award-winning Chuckanut Brewery has big expansion and contraction changes in store for the rest of 2021 and into 2022. The brewery in Burlington at the Port of Skagit in the heart of Skagit Valley will be more than doubling its size. This expansion will set the brewery up to get deeper into the field of bottling and canning its superb ales and lagers.

The Coronavirus has made us all more creative with how we get our great beer to those who want it, just not at a favorite restaurant or pub. Instead, it’s got to be in the form of beer to go. Chuckanut is now offering its world-famous, award-winning beers in half-liter bottles!

Chuckanut's New Beers for Early Spring

Spring is in the air, the sun is showing its bright face bringing beer to our mind! Chuckanut has the crispies to keep you going as the weather warms and you get more active. The newest Chuckanut collaboration is with Zeeks Pizza called Zealander Pilsner. The big kahuna of this sessionable pilsner is the New Zealand grown hops Rakau and Wai-Iti. These hops play together to give the beer a mixture of stonefruit, lemon and lime notes against a malt backbone of classic German Weyermann malts. Crisp, hoppy, and bold the Zealander Pilsner is begging to be had with your next slice of pizza.

Chuckanut Tsunami at WA Beer Awards

Chuckanut Brewery dominated the awards at this year’s WA Beer Awards ceremony at the WA Brewers Festival on June 15th at Marymore Park. The blind judging had over 1,465 entries in 135 styles entered by 193 breweries. Chuckanut won medals for 9 out of the 10 beers they entered including 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.
